The fifth anniversary of the Presbyterian Christian Fellowship in Canada (PCFC) was more than a celebration of five years of existence; it was a joyful affirmation of God's unwavering faithfulness and a renewed commitment to His mission. Held from June 8 to June 15, 2025, the week-long celebration embraced the inspiring theme, “Looking Up to God in Hope, Looking Out to the World in Love,” reminding believers that authentic Christian living is rooted in steadfast trust in God and expressed through compassionate service to others.
Since its inception, PCFC has grown into a vibrant community of faith, dedicated to worship, discipleship, and Christian fellowship. Guided by God's grace, the church has become a spiritual home where lives are transformed, leaders are nurtured, and members are empowered to serve both the Church and society.
One of the fellowship's most enduring achievements has been its positive impact within the Edmonton community. Through outreach initiatives, acts of compassion, and meaningful engagement, PCFC has demonstrated Christ's love in practical ways, supporting families, welcoming newcomers, and contributing to the spiritual and social well-being of the community. These efforts continue to reflect the church's commitment to being a beacon of hope and service.
The anniversary celebrations also showcased the power of unity through sporting activities involving Christian and non-Christian organizations from Edmonton, including Diversity FC Social Club. More than friendly competition, these events strengthened relationships, promoted healthy fellowship, and reinforced the shared values of teamwork, respect, and Christian love.
Equally significant was the successful fundraising campaign in support of the church's development project. The generous response from members and friends reflected a shared vision for the future and a collective commitment to advancing God's work. Every contribution became an investment in the continued growth and impact of the ministry.
As PCFC celebrates this important milestone, it looks to the future with confidence and hope. The journey of the past five years has laid a firm foundation for greater ministry, broader community engagement, and deeper spiritual influence. Anchored in faith and inspired by love, the fellowship remains committed to proclaiming the Gospel, serving humanity, and glorifying God in all that it does.
The story of PCFC is still being written. Guided by the enduring promise of God's presence and sustained by the dedication of its pastor, leaders, members, and partners, the fellowship stands ready to embrace the opportunities of tomorrow. As the church continues to look up to God in hope and look out to the world in love, it carries forward a legacy of faith that will inspire generations to come
“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20–21)
